Funding

Make sure to consider your financial situation and options early on in the application process, preferably at least a year to a year and a half before your estimated departure date. It might seem like a good idea to wait with financial planning until after you’re accepted, but the reality is that it is often too late to start after acceptance. Remember that there are strict deadlines to adhere to when applying for financial aid. These usually close before you receive your acceptance letter.

Graduate and PhD students have access to different sources of financial aid. Most students will not be able to cover all fees through one financial aid program alone. Make sure you apply to different scholarship bodies and financial aid programs. The following pages will offer more information about:

  • Costs
  • Financial aid through universities
  • External funding bodies, such as the Fulbright scholarship
